No, this financial aid is exclusively for Harvard UG courses and not for the MA courses here. Some specific courses may still offer partial fellowships, stipends or teaching assistantships based on department budget and merit.

Indian students going for Harvard MA should look for loan options, self-funding and savings.

Yes, Harvard University values impact (made via projects, initiatives, start-ups) over just certifications for Indian students.

Harvard heavily focuses on what the applicants bring to the table. And the projects and Startups help prove that you possess leadership, resourcefulness and a genuine desire to improve the community.

Yes, for Indian students who are applying to Harvard University, a strong spike is definitely required. The spike means an exceptional depth in one specific area.

And, it is significantly better than a traditionally well-rounded profile. This is because a lot of Indian students are highly qualified and have perfect academics, hence a spike helps Indian students stand out from the pool of generic applications.

It is challenging to choose because both universities are in the top tier.

Between Harvard and Yale, Harvard is ranked higher for MPH course but Harvard University just offers a single MPH course to its International students, whereas Yale offers 15 courses for MPH.

Look at the given comparison -

  • There are huge differences in the tuition fee. Yale University tuition fees for the MPH are comparatively lower than those of Harvard University.
  • General acceptance rate of Harvard is lower at 3.6% than that of Yale University which stands at 4.5%
  • It is somewhat easier to get an admission at Yale University rather than Harvard University.
