The conditions for hindi minority quota are ( Only for MMS students):
1. Candidates who are staying in Maharashtra for at least 10 Years (has / is Domicile of Maharashtra) and who belong to under given (North Indian) States where the Official language is Hindi.
2. Candidates Parents (Mother and Father" both") must be a native from the following States and their mother tongue should be Hindi. ( Bihar, Delhi, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh)
3. Candidate must have passed his 10th and 12th and/or graduation from Maharashtra. Since your parents do not belong

Plus, they will help you improve your English as in engineering. Almost every lecture is taught in English only
or else you can join any local institute.

If you want to do PG in journalism then you should be doing your BA in this rather than English. Even now, you should shift subjects. But let me assure you that there is tremendous scope for employment in English also.
