Career options for students who have finished their graduation in history are quite high. You can go for advanced studies or get jobs. If you would like to pursue your studies, go for Master's degree in the same field. You can also appear for the UPSC or the state wide PSC tests. You can also appear for the SSC tests. In case, you wish to get into teaching profession, get the B.Ed (after BA) or M.Ed (after MA) degree and apply for teacher or lecturer positions.

In my views after B.com, M.A in English will be more favorable than history. M. A. in English will open great career opportunities after masters you are eligible for govt. as well as private sector jobs.
But on other hand if you start preparing for IAS, than a aspiring career is awaiting for you after clearing civil services examination.

You seem to be inclined towards teaching. To be an Assistant Professor at any of the Under Graduate Institutions, you need to b e a PhD. You can do this with us as well. There is no such requirement that candidates must be B.sc or B.A. or esle.Only graduation in any field even Engineering.
Just select the course in which you will be able to provide your best time and effort.Select that subject which would be easy for you to handle wisely.

Archaeology is the science of studying human cultures through the recovery, analysis and documentation of material remains and environmental data, like architecture, arte facts, features, landscapes.
You can go with M.A Archaeology once you are done with bachelors in History. It is preferable for candidates to have a background of ancient history and culture.
