The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) was set up to cater to the needs of a mixed group of learners up to pre-degree level. The NIOS Class 12 subjects are categorized into six groups: Group A, Group B, Group C, Group D, Group E, and Group F. All the language subjects are included in Group A. All the other subjects such as Science, math, commerce, etc. Have been put in other groups. The maximum mark for each of the NIOS 12th exams is 100. The marking schemes are as follows:
History (315):
Module 1: Ancient India (20 marks)
Module 2: Medieval India (20 marks)
Module 3: Modern India (15 marks)
Module 4: Indian National Movement (15 marks)
Module 5: The 20th Century World (15 marks)
Module 6A: Evaluation of States in India and Module 6B: The Culture of India (15 marks)
Economics (318):
Module I, II, and III are not included on the final examination. Module-IV: Statistical Tool (20 marks)
Module-V: Introduction to Economics (7 marks)
Module VI: Consumer Behavior (14 points)
Module-VII: The Producer's Behavior (15 marks)
Module-VIII: Market and Price Determination (7 marks)
Module-IX: National Income Accounting (15 marks)
Module X: Theory of Income and Employment (10 marks)
Module XI: Money, Banking, and Government Budget (12 marks). .

The selection is done on the basis of merit list.
Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their marks obtained in class 12th are considered for admission and called for the document verification process.
Eligibility Criteria:
Aspirants seeking admission to 3 years Full-time B.A Program should be pass in 10+2 Examination with any Subject.

Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, was established to mark the birth centenary of the legendary poet Rabindranath Tagore. It offers a Bachelor of Arts in History (Hons) under the Faculty of Arts. The mode of application at Rabindra Bharati University Kolkata is online, and the duration of the course is three years consisting of six semesters of six months each. Eligibility Criteria for Course: Passed Class 12 or its equivalent with special aptitude in the concerned subject. Selection criteria: practical test (50 marks) + theoretical test (30 marks) + class 12 or equivalent academic marks (20 marks)
For B.A. History (Hons) there are approximately 80 seats are available based on different sources.

The rank list of applicants provisionally selected for admission will be published on the college notice board and interview cards assigning the date & time of the interview with the principal will be sent to applicants. They will have to attend the interview along with their parents / guardians.
On securing the admission the pass certificate of the qualifying examination and other certificates are to be surrendered at the college. The students are therefore advised to keep with them attested copies of their SSLC book and other certificates for their interim use. The certificates shall be returned to them only at the end of courses.

JMI offers BA, B.Sc, BBA, B.Com, BTTM, BFA, BA-LL.B, B.Ed and B.Li.I.Sc courses in various specializations. The minimum eligibility criteria is 10+2 from a recognized board. Admission to some of the UG courses will be done through Common University Entrance Test (CUET) while admission to the remaining courses will be done through JMI entrance Test.
Selection for the BA (Hons) Hindi, BA (Hons) Sanskrit, BA (Hons) French and Francophone Studies, BA (Hons) Spanish and Latin American Studies, BA (Hons) Economics, BA (Hons) History, BSc in Biotechnology, BVoc (Solar Energy), BSc (Hons) Physics and BA (Hons) Turkish Language & Literature courses will be done on the basis of scores obtained in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Candidates must choose the subjects mentioned in the eligibility criteria while appearing for the CUET.
Selection for the remaining courses will be based on the JMI entrance test.
