Hello Kunal, With the 20k ranking, you can hardly get placed in any of the top IHM (sorry to say this)
but try in 1st and 2nd round in colleges like IHM Bhopal, IHM Chennai, IHM Chandigarh. If any queries feel free to write in comments section

Hello bhavyatta, As your brother scored less then 50%, there is very less chance to get into IHM colleges in India, but the other option is that he can apply in any of the private institutions which are well reputed. If you want any future details feel free to write in comments. All the best

Most of the colleges offer the course with eligibility criteria that say Candidate seeking for a Diploma or a Degree course in hotel management must have passed the +2 level of exam from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. But, some private college may still offer you this course with these marks. You should directly contact them.
