Please refer to the link provided below for a list of career choices which you can option for after clearing class 12. You can select a suitable stream and then proceed with sub choices available on the web page. For engineering, you might have to select class 12 science, whereas for cooking you will have to select arts. Good Luck!!

Hi Inderjit,
You can pursue courses in Journalism and Mass Communication, specialize in travel journalism later, this will depend on your interest. Please decide where to study and check admission requirements by visiting university websites. Take the IELTS and do well in your 12th. You must be academically strong to get into a good university.

Dear Paritosh,
Officially NCHMCT does not declare any cut off marks. They simply declare the results. However, a safe option is to have minimum 50 % marks to qualify But for good ranks, 70 % should be a good score.

You may go to Kurukshetra University. All the faculties there have hospitality experience of more than 10 years. All are well educated and their work experience reflects their personality. They teach very well we also like the way they teach us. It is basically a 3-year course in which 6 semesters are there. Every semester has final exams as well as practical exams. Here the study is quite easy and we get the job more easily as compared to other colleges.

Dear Danish,
What do you mean by Hotel Manager? There is nothing called "Hotel Manager" in a 5 star property. They call the over-all In-charge as "General Manager(GM)". Hotel Manager is generally for small hotels where Manager looks after the complete operations. Otherwise, in big hotels, you have separate Managers for all 4 core departments who report to the GM.
If you want to get into a Leadership role, you must have Leadership skill and good communication skills. After joining the MT programme, you gradually move up the ladder.

Food and Beverage Service
Food Production
Housekeeping
Front Office
Engineering
Stewarding
