Hospitality and Hotel Management are seen as same because Hotel Management is the biggest part of broader Hospitality industry and most courses focus on hotel operations (rooms, food, front desk) giving them same training even though Hospitality technically includes events, tourism and even airlines too.
Think of it like this - "Hospitality" is whole big family (service, travel, fun) and "Hotel Management" is one very important member of that family (lodging) that everyone learns about first.

Yes, why not!
A tourism management degree is a great foundation for a hotel career, opening doors to roles like Hotel Manager, Front Desk Manager, Guest Relations or even Sales/Marketing in hotels, resorts, cruise lines, etc. All because your degree teaches you about guest experience, operations and also business which are key to running hotels successfully.

Culinary Arts is about making food (cooking, creating dishes, kitchen skills), while Hotel Management is about running whole place (managing staff, guests, front office, marketing, finances).
Think of it as a Chef (Culinary) vs. a General Manager (Hotel Management) in a hotel - one focuses on plate other on entire guest experience and business operations.
