You have not specify about the college, where you wish to pursue the hotel management course. However, the upper age limit for B.Sc-HHA from IHMs is 22 years. While the upper age limit for IIHM-Pune is 21 years.

JN, Switching over from Law to Hotel Management courses is requires great courage and patience. However, if you are in initial stage of Law course, then you can do this. But if you are in middle or above of course, then it is not advisable to switch over from the course. The basic eligibility criteria for undergraduate and Diploma courses of hotel management is 12th with English and entrance test.

Institute of Hotel Management offers undergraduate B.Sc-HHA and following Diploma courses in Food production, Food & Beverage, Bakery & Confectionary, Front office operation and House keeping operation. The admission in B.Sc-HHA are done through the NCHMCT JEE National level entrance test). The eligibility criteria is 12th with English. 1. B.Sc-Hospitality & Hotel Administration (B.Sc-HHA) :- This course is offered by various IHMs located in India. Admission in this course is done on the basis of NCHM-JEE (Entrance test). Regular M.Phil is possible if and only if your Masters degree fulfills requisite percentage demand for M.Phil as well as recognised. It does not matter if the Masters degree is acquired through regular or distance mode.

SRM Institute of Hotel Management, Chennai offers BSc (3 years) in Hotel & Catering Management. The eligibility criteria for this program is 12th pass. Hence, on the basis of Engineering Diploma you are not eligible for this program.
