The selection criteria for BTech admission in HSTES counselling is NATA / JEE Main paper 2 ranks. The proper inter-se-merit and ranks shall be displayed on the official website for the candidates to check. Based on the ranks provided to the candidates in the HSTES merit list, candidates will be allotted seats during the seat allotment.

For Diploma Engineering admission in HSTES counselling, candidates must have passed 10th Std/ SSC Examination. On the other hand for Diploma Engineering (LE) candidates must have Passed 10+2 examination with Physics/Mathematics/Chemistry/Computer Science/Electronics/ Information Technology/Biology/Informatics Practices/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies/Entrepreneurship, or 10 + (2 years ITI).

No. The admission to HSTES BTech LE (Lateral Entry) course is based on rank/inter-se merit to be prepared by HSTES from the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Qualifying exam includes diploma examination in any branch of Engg. & Tech. or a BSc degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC.

Yes. JEE Main rank is mandatory for admission to BTech courses via the HSTES counselling. The BTech seats via HSTES counselling is allotted to the candidates based on JEE Main scores only however, candidates also need a minimum 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in class 12.

In Haryana, Haryana State Technical Education Society which is set up by the Haryana Government conducts state-level counselling for admission to various graduate and diploma courses in different disciplines of Engineering, Technology, Architecture & Planning, Pharmacy, Management etc. HSTES counselling for BTech admission is held based on JEE Main scores.

The official website hosts the important dates for HSTES counselling alongwith all the detaols for HSTES counselling held for BE/BTech, BTech (LE), BArch, BPharm/BPharm (LE), and Diploma courses. All latest updates regtading the HSTES counselling is updated on the official website only. Also, candidates have to register for the counselling process through the link hosted on the official website only.

There will be an Online Common Entrance Test (OCET) for all the students of 10+2 PCM/PCB streams who are seeking admission to the BPharmacy course in Haryana. The test has 90 objective types Multiple Choice of Questions (MCQs). Each question carries one mark. A separate rank-wise merit list for the test will be prepared. All candidates are advised to be conversant with the handling of keyboard and mouse.
The admission will be made based on inter-se rank obtained in OCET and as per the choice of Branch/Institution filled by the candidate at the time of locking of choices in HSTES counselling.
