Candidates who will succeed in the JEE Main Exam will be entitled to admission and counselling for HSTES . The conducting authority will prepare the HSTES cutoff based on the marks obtained in JEE Main. The HSTES B.Tech. cutoff formulates the merit list. It consists of the rank of the candidates. The HSTES cutoff ranks will be different at participating colleges. Also, several branches will have different cutoff ranks. Some of the criteria that are taken into account while preparing the merit list for HSTES B.Tech. are reservation criteria, performance in JEE Main, availability of seats, etc.

The last date for HSRES 2024 registration is 24 June, 2024. The HSTES 2024 application form is available online on the official website. A direct link is also be provided on this page. The HSTES 2024 registration started on May 29, 2024. Candidates from all across the state participate in the HSTES counselling 2024 to get admission in BE/B.Tech/BArch programmes.

In simple terms, B.Tech lateral entry is the direct entry of a candidate into the second year of engineering, which is in the third semester, after completing a Diploma in engineering or a B.Sc. in Physics or Mathematics. Those candidates who are accepted need not study the first year or first two semesters of B.Tech. and will be eligible for direct admissions. The duration of the whole course is six semesters, or three years.

The B.Tech. eligibility criteria for HSTES are mentioned below:
Minimum Academic Qualifications for B.E./B.Tech:
A candidate should pass a 10+2 examination from a recognised board in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Biotechnology or subjects.
Diploma in Engineering holders can also apply for HSTES B.Tech. admission under the Lateral Entry scheme. Candidates must have at least 45% marks in Class 12 or Diploma in Engineering.

Yes. The admissions to Diploma courses are made based on inter-se-merit of qualifying examination. HSTES also conducts state-level Online Common Entrance Test (OCET) for admission to the BPharmacy course. The admissions to BE/BTech courses are made based on the All India Rank of JEE Mains conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Admissions to the BArch course are made based on rank obtained in NATA conducted by COA and JEE Main paper part II conducted by NTA.

The HSTES 2024 Counselling schedule for Round 2 physical reporting of the candidates to the allotted institute will be announced soon. It is to be noted that the already-registered candidates will also allowed to participate in the counselling. If the seat allotted for counselling is cancelled, then the previous allotted seat will automatically be cancelled. Also, the candidates from the State of Haryana need to provide their Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) ID or Aadhaar No. (if the applicant does not remember the PPP ID) as per the provisions of the “THE HARYANA PARIVAR PEHCHAN ACT, 2021”.

The Haryana State Technical Education Society released the HSTES counselling schedule on the website, techadmissionshry.gov.in. HSTES 2025 counselling was held in two rounds, namely Round 1 and Round 2.
