HSTES 2023 online registration for B.E/B.Tech will start soon, including all categories TFW, EWS, KM, and HGST, at the official website techadmissionshry.gov.in. It is conducted by the Department of Technical Education, Haryana. Candidates seeking admission into BE/BTech/BArch courses can apply by filling out the application form. What is HSTES?

HSTES is the acronym of Haryana State Technical Education Society. Department of Technical Education, Haryana carries out the admission procedure. Two online off-campus counselling are being organized based on the inter-se-merit of JEE Main to admit candidates into BE/ BTech/ BArch courses (including Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme/ Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates). Candidates seeking admission through HSTES must have Aadhaar Number (or Enrolment number) to exercise the registration. If Aadhaar Number (or Enrolment number) is not available to any candidates then in such case they can accede any alternate documents such as passport, bank account or any other valid Govt. identity number. However, it is important to submit the Aadhaar Number within one month after reporting at the Institute.

HSTES 2023 Application Process

Candidates seeking admission should fill the application form. They should fill HSTES application form with correct details only otherwise their application will be liable for rejection. The application procedure encompasses various stages like registration, filling the application form, choice filling, application fee payment and final submit. Candidates should not wait for the last moment to fill the application form.

HSTES 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should meet the HSTES BE/BTech eligibility criteria before filling the application form. It is necessary to meet the conditions such as qualifying examination, marks obtained, subjects, etc. Check an overview of the HSTES admission eligibility criteria below.

  • An applicant should have passed Class 12 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.
  • For admission to BE/BTech (Bio-Technology), a candidate should be a pass in Class 12 examination with Physics and Mathematics or Biology as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science.
  • A candidate who is passed in Diploma in Engineering and Technology from a recognized Institute/University.
  • Candidates should have obtained 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category candidates).

HSTES Kashmiri Migrant Seats

The number of seats under this scheme is 5% of the sanctioned intake of each course. The seats will be supernumerary in nature and will be filled separately on the basis of inter-se-merit of qualifying examination. The percentage will be calculated on the basis of Marks of Math, Physics, English and any one of the following (whichever is highest) Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject. Candidates will have to show the original certificate of Migration duly signed by the competent authority or relief commissioner.

HSTES BE/BTech Tuition Fee Waiver

Candidates whose parents annual income is less than eight lakhs from all sources will be eligible for seats under this scheme. Seats under this category shall be supernumerary in nature and up to a maximum of 5% of “Approved Intake” per Course shall be available for the admission. The supernumerary seats will be available only to such courses in an Institution, where a minimum of 30% of “Approved Intake” are filled up. Candidates applying under HSTES tuition fee waiver scheme have to produce relevant Income Certificate issued by the competent authority.

HSTES Haryana Government School Topper (HGST) Seats

The seats of BE/BTech Programme in each branch in the Institutes will be filled on the basis of inter-se-merit of Class 12. The topper should have scored minimum second division i.e. 50% marks in aggregate. The candidate will have to produce a certificate in the support of their claim from the Principal/Headmaster of the Govt. School of which the candidate is topper clearly stating the strength of class.

HSTES Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Seats

Under Economically Weaker Section (EWS) reservation, seats up to maximum ten percent of the sanctioned intake per course shall be available in all educational institutions. The seats will be supernumerary in nature.

HSTES 2023 Counselling

The counselling will be held online. Candidates will be able to register for HSTES counselling 2023 after paying the counselling fee through debit card, credit card or net-banking by using online payment gateway. After that, registered candidates are required to upload their documents for verification.
