HSTES

Choice filling is one of the stages of the HSTES counselling process. After the HSTES counselling registration and document verification, candidates can log in to select their preferred courses and colleges from the available options. The number of seats at each institution will be displayed based on eligibility and category. Candidates will only see options for which they are eligible.

To fill their choices, candidates should click on "Fill/Modify Choice" and prioritize their selections. It's essential to save the choices after filling them out. To increase the chances of securing a seat, candidates are encouraged to select as many eligible options as possible. Once the choices are filled, candidates must lock them in, signifying their final selections.

Candidates will have the opportunity to unlock, edit, and reorder their choices within a specified timeframe, as indicated on the website under the key dates section (choice locking start and end dates). It's crucial for candidates to lock their choices to be considered for seat allotment results.

After candidates successfully submit the HSTES application form, they must undergo a document verification process. BPharm candidates, however, need to first qualify in the Online Common Entrance Test (OCET).

To participate in the centralized online HSTES counseling, candidates are required to upload their certificates and documents on the website by the specified key dates. A merit list will be published based on qualifying exam marks for all candidates, except those in the BE/BTech course. Only those whose documents are successfully verified will be included in this merit list. Based on their ranks, candidates can then fill in their choices during the HSTES counseling.

Seats will be allotted according to the candidates' inter-se merit rank, category, and the choices they have filled. Only candidates whose names appear on the HSTES merit list can participate in the choice filling process.
