JNU BA (Hons) cutoff 2025 was between the range of 59.28 and 74.4, among the General All India category candidates. The cutoff range was between the range of 59.8 and 69.64, for various BA (Hons) specialisations. Among the SC AI category candidates, cutoff ranks varied between 52.51 and 65.58.

In a BA (Bachelor of Arts) programme under the New eductaion Policy (NEP) 2020 framework, students usually choose:
- 1 Major Subject (also known as Discipline Core)
- 1 or 2 Minor Subjects (based on teh university's structure)
- Ability enhancement courses like (English/ MIL communication or Environmental Studies)
- Skill Enhancement or Vocational courses
- Generic Electives (optional at some universities)
