The usual stipend is 8,000 rupees per month under the UGC Non-NET Fellowship. Some universities may offer a bit more through their own internal fellowships, but it depends on the institution and available funding. Private or research-focused universities sometimes provide higher stipends, but that's not very common. So, unless you're funded through a project or internal scheme, INR 8,000/month is the standard.

Want to study old stuff and make it cool again? Apply for the MA in Archaeology at DIHRM (affiliated with GGSIPU). Step 1: Fill the form online. Step 2: Crack the CET (GGSIPU's entrance exam).
