Central University of Tamil Nadu offers a BA (Hons) course for the duration of three or four years. Additionally, the university also offers an integrated BA+MA course for the duration of five years. All these BA courses are offered only in one specialisation, i.e., economics. The eligibility requirements and admission process in any of the offered BA courses are the same.

The recent placements package offered to BA graduates at the Central University of Tamil Nadu has not been released officially. However, as per the NIRF report 2024, the university has recorded a median package of INR 2.04 LPA to BA students. Moreover, this is the overall UG median package. Hence, it might not be specific to the BA course.

After the completion of a BA from CUTN, candidates can apply for different government jobs according to their specialisation. Graduates tend to seek employment in public administration, teaching, and social services. Candidates can apply for competitive exams such as UPSC, SSC, and State Public Service Commissions for the positions of IAS, IPS, or other government departments. Besides, there are opportunities in banking, railways, and other PSUs, where a BA degree is a qualifying criterion.
With appropriate preparation and focus, graduates with BA can get employment in the government sector
