The prelim exam cutoff for IBPS Clerk is determined on a scale of 100. Once the marks out of 100 have been normalized, the Mains exam cutoff is determined. After working as IBPS clerks for at least two years, candidates may apply for the promotions. After two years of service, IBPS Clerks gets promoted once every two years. IBPS clerks are promoted based on their seniority, experience, and performance in an internal written exam. In the IBPS Clerk exam, sectional cutoffs do exist. It is necessary for candidates to get the overall and sectional cutoff marks. Applicants who meet the sectional cutoff but not the overall cutoff will not be chosen to proceed with the recruitment process.
