There are no limitations on the number of attempts in the IBPS clerk exam. However, there are age limit criteria to apply for the exam. The minimum age required to apply for the IBPS clerk exam is 20 years, and the maximum age is 28 years.

Apart from IBPS Clerk admit card, candidates must carry one photo-identity proof to the exam centre. Verification of photo-identity proof is done by the exam centre officials at the entry gate. Candidates are required to show the IBPS Clerk hall ticket and photo-identity proof to the officials for verification. It is only after the verification of documents that candidates are allowed to proceed towards their allotted lab/exam hall. Due to the COVID-19 situation, registration of candidates is done through photo-capture. Candidates need to carry any one of the following photo-identity proofs to the exam centre:
- PAN Card
- Passport
- Permanent
