The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS released the IBPS PO 2024 notification on its official website - ibps.in. The IBPS notified 4,455 IBPS PO vacancies in the official notiifcation. The IBPS PO 2024 exam was conducted on October 19 & 20.
The IBPS PO main exam 2024 was conducted on November 30, 2024.

IBPS PO Mains is divided in five different sections. The syllabus is given below:
Quantitative Aptitude: Simplification, Average, Percentage, Interest, Time and Work, Probability, Mixture and Alligations, Time and Distance, etc.
Verbal: Cloze test, Para jumbles, Fill in the blanks, Sentence Improvement, Comprehensions, Error Detection etc.
Reasoning Ability: Syllogism, coding-decoding, seating arrangement, DI, logical reasoning, etc.
General Awareness: Banking, Financial Awareness, Current Affairs etc.
Students also have to appear for a descriptive written test.

The tips and tricks to prepare for various IBPS exams are given below:
- At the beginning of preparation, carefully read the entire IBPS syllabus to get an idea of the structure of the exam
- List the topics prescribed in the IBPS syllabus so that you do not waste time learning irrelevant or unnecessary topics
- By going through the IBPS syllabus, candidates can decide how much time to dedicate to each section
- Use the IBPS syllabus to get an idea about the importance of a topic

Candidates can check below the exam day guidelines for IBPS exam:
- Candidates need to carry the printed copy of the admit card along with one photo-identity proof
- The admit card for the prelims exam is not collected at the exam centre. Candidates need to bring the prelims admit card and authenticated photo identity proof along with the Mains admit card while appearing for the Mains exam
- Candidates should report at least 15 minutes before the reporting time indicated on the admit card
- Rough sheets are kept at the desk of each candidate. No additional sheets are provided during the exam
- Candidate must drop the rough sheets in the boxes provide

Candidates need to carry the following photo-identity proofs along with IBPS admit card for verification purposes.
- Aadhaar Card/E-Aadhaar card with a photograph
- PAN Card
- Permanent Driving License
- Voter’s Card
- Bank passbook
- Photo-identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer/People’s Representative along with a photograph
- Identity card issued by a recognised college/university
Note: Ration cards and Learner’s Driving Licenses are not accepted as photo-identity proof.

IBPS admit card is a mandatory document that needs to be carried at the IBPS exam centre on the day of exam. No candidates will be allowed to enter exam hall without exam centres. Candidates need to carry other documents along with IBPS admit card to exam centre. List of the documents has been given below for candidates:Two passport size photograph, Valid photo Identity proof
