Rishabh33155, The quality of the course varies from college to college as it depends upon a lot of constraints. Talking about IIIT Allahabad, here M.tech in Robotics is quite a decent branch as the course structure, faculty, labs and facilities are pretty good. Though the first batch of the course hasn't sit for the placements yet but since their placements will also happen along with the B.tech students only, so you may assume that it'll be decent as well. So, overall, this course is a good one to opt for.

Sanjay82106, IIIT Allahabad offers a number of courses which includes 4-year B.Tech programmes and 5-year integrated courses for M.Tech and MBA. The cutoff ranks for each of these courses vary. The cutoff ranks also depend upon the category you have. Considering you belong to the general category, for getting admission into 4-year B.Tech programme in IT branch you should secure a rank of around 6000 and for ECE branch,11000.
For dual degree courses in IT, a rank of around 8000 would also work and whereas for ECE,the cutoff goes up till around 12000.
For a clearer picture you may check the opening and closing ranks of the college for prev

In my opinion, Bits has a better brand name than IIIT. Also CSE degree is preferred by some companies over IT. To decide, you should have a look at the companies visiting these colleges for respective branches. Choose the college that gets your dream company. Also, if possible, talk to any Alumni of these branches in resp colleges.

Rishabh33155, it depends on which category you belong to. Well, considering you belong to the general category, with this rank you can get many colleges but you won't be getting the top courses in them. If you just want the name of NIT or IIIT , that you can get but if you are specific about some particular branch and college then you should mention that. Also, you can check the previous year's cutoff ranks of the colleges of your choice, you'll have a clearer picture. Also ,talking about IIIT Allahabad, 4 year B.tech courses close around 10-11000 rank for general category.

@sachn41664, the JEE MAINS admission process is really simple. For getting into IITs , JEE MAINS will serve as an eligibility examination clearing which you will be eligible to write the ADVANCED paper and after that all that matters is your JEE-ADVANCED score and rank. Whereas, for getting admission into NITs , IIITs and other centrally and state funded institutions, your JEE MAINS score and class XII BOARD results matter. Your final score will be prepared by combining your MAINS score and Boards marks. 60% weightage of the MAINS score will be taken and remaining 40% weightage will come from your normalised Boards score. Krishna, the average package doesn't depend on the branch. ECE students are allowed to sit in both IT and EC companies. So ultimately it all depends on your knowledge and hardwork. If you are good enough, you can definitely bag a decent package from the college.

For B.tech IT and ECE the cutoff is 9k to 10k while for the Dual degree courses it is around 10k to 15k depending on the M.tech specialization offered for the second degree. This is around a score of 200 on an average seeing the past patterns. However the board result and percentile also are a major factor in the same.
