Hello Akhil, having work experience is not necessary to pursue MBA from an IIM or non-IIM in India. However, it is always beneficial to have it as significant weightage is allotted to it by the various B- Schools during their admission processes.

Hello Kapil! Work experience is not compulsory to pursue MBA from any B-school in india(apart from ISB). However, it is always beneficial to have it as significant weightage is allotted to it by the various B-schools during their admission processes. Plus, someone having an experience will be able to relate with the MBA curriculum in a better way than a fresher.

IIMs take admission on the basis of a valid CAT score and GD-PI. You can get a call from IIM on the basis of your fantastic performance in CAT exam not on the basis of your academics only.
I hope you'll understand it better.

IIM is one of the good business schools in Pune for past few years since it is an old Institute. But, currently, PIBM has become one of the best. It is one of the top emerging colleges for MBA and PGDM courses. Placements are very good. Training is good and there are a lot of corporate people coming to college to train students. I have also seen the latest rankings as it has been ranked in top 25 in India. BBC Knowledge also awarded it as the top college in Asia.

Hi Nehal,
If you get through ISB or IIM, you need not really think for a better school. Business graduates from these schools are equally sought after abroad. You have to check which university in Australia you want to graduate from. If your final aim is to settle in India go ahead with IIM or ISB.
