The website states that the candidates must have taken at least three among Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics during their higher secondary course to be considered as from a "Science stream". So, see your subjects.

Generally, students face difficulty studying subjects they didn't have in 12th. As courses are usually easier in earlier semesters, if you learn dedicatedly, then you will get good marks. Some professors understand this issue and thus teach from the basics, so paying attention in classes would also solve many problems.

While it's better not compare older IISERs with newer ones, according to 2022 NIRF rankings, IISER Pune, Kolkata, Mohali, and Bhopal are in the overall category. The rest are not mentioned in the overall rankings. Nature Index (overall share): Bhopal, Pune, Kolkata, TVM, Mohali, Tirupati and Berhampur. But I suggest you do not rely only on one particular ranking system as they would have one flaw or the other. Instead, you should SEE the ranking of a specific department in which you are interested, like nature. Don't forget to SEE further details.

Admissions to IISERs are from 3 channels/ways. Majorly (75 per cent) through SCB (IISER's very own aptitude test), and the rest though JEE (Adv. ). And KVPY.

They will give you a BSMS degree mentioning your specialisation (aka major subject), and if you have done a minor in some subject, they will mention that also in your degree.

If you complete Ph.D. from any of these places. You will have good chance to earn in Lacs every month. You will be either professor in top IITs, top colleges, researcher in government Institutes or private companies or doing some technical job in industry. All of these pay very well. Even your study at these institutions you will be getting good stipend. You can join any of these Institutes in 3 ways.
1. After class 12. For BSMS using JEE or NEET
2. After B.Sc. For integrated Ph.D. using IIT JAM or jest
3 after M.Sc. As a Ph.D. using GATE/net/jest
Iisc is the best. Than comes top IISER than niser. And in last new iisers.

Additional cut-off criteria for marks obtained in 10+2 board examination is also applicable. The cut-off marks in (10+2) as eligibility for admissions is: 60% marks in aggregate or equiv
