The IIT Dhanbad BTech tuition fees is INR 8 lakh. This fees was paid in eight instalments throughout the duration of the BTech courses at IIT Dhanbad. Given fee is as per official sources, but can still vary.

The current tuition fees for BTech courses at IIT Dhanbad is currently unknown. Last year, the tuition fees at IIT Dhanbad stood at INR 1 lakh.
This fees was charged on per semester basis in eight instalments. Each instalment costed INR 12,500.

Bachelor's degree holder from IITs with a CGPA of 8.0 or above can get direct admission in M.Tech programme of IIT Dhanbad without GATE. The respective department reviews such applications and seats for such aspirants are supernumerary.

Candidates are allotted seat in MSc programme based on IIT JAM scores of the candidates at IIT Dhanbad. In 2025, the closing rank for MSc was 101-822 for General category candidates. The ranks are quite competitive for MSc programme. Aspirants with rank equal or above the IIT JAM cutoff get a seat in MSc programme.
