IIT Dhanbad JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 has been released for the third round. The cutoff was released for BTch and Integrated BTech courses. The cutoff ranks for the General AI category were between the range of 4014 and 16143. As per the cutoff range, it is possible to get admission at 10,000 range. At 10,000 rank, student can get admission to a number of specialisations such as B.Tech. in Environmental Engineering, B.Tech. in Petroleum Engineering, B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering etc. However, if the student wants to get admission to the top branches such as CSE and Electrical, then admission at 10,000 rank is difficult.

NTA has released round 1 of the JEE Advanced scores for candidates seeking admission to BTech, Integrated BTech and other courses. For IIT Dhanbad, the cutoff ranks in the first round varied between 3348 and 15969, for General AI category candidates, for admission to different courses and specialisations. The toughest specialisation among the General AI category candidates was B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering.

According to media reports, highest package offered during IIT Dhanbad placements 2026 (phase 1) was above INR 80 LPA. During the placement drive 2025, highest package offered was INR 1.22 Crore per Annum.

The overall placement percentage recorded during IIT Dhanbad placements 2025 was 81.76%. In BTech and BTech Double Major, placement rate was 84.34% and 100%. In BTech+MTech program, 90.91% students were placed.
