There are around 3000 seats in postgraduate programmes at 21 IITs for the academic year 2025-26. JAM 2025 Scores will be used to admit the candidates subject to satisfying the ERs and MEQs and any other necessary requirements, without any additional interview or written test.
JAM scores will be used for admission to over 2000 seats for postgraduate programmes such as M.Sc. and M.A. at IISc and various NITs, IIEST Shibpur, SLIET, DIAT through Centralized Counselling for M.Sc / M.Sc. (Tech.) Admission (CCMN).

Hello Yuvan, to get admission in any IIT, a student needs to be eligible to appear for JEE advanced as a first stage. At the second stage he needs to score quite well in JEE advanced so that the student gets admission in the desired course.
   After the conclusion of all the sessions planned for a particular year, National Testing Agency, announces the results of JEE mains. IIT is a public/government university. Whereas, VIT is a private university. Therefore there is difference in the fee for various courses and the education structure as well. IIT is best in offering Engineering courses to students when talking about the government university. VIT is one of the best private university offering Engineering and various other courses to students. Both are best universities and are incomparable. To get admission to VIT, candidates must have valid scores in VITEEE,  VITMEE,  VITREE, and other entrance exams.
