Technical University of Munich and Indian are the best choices to study for students. But, if we compare them in terms of placements then, placements at TUM is better than the IIT placements. The highest package at IITs varies between INR 1 Cr to INR 1.54 Cr while the average package at TUM Munich is around €165k or INR 1.48 Cr.

The cut-off percentiles for OBC candidates in NITs lie between 78 and 88. But your score falls within this range, it's closer to the upper end that is good. Although in IITs, there are 2 seats reserved for defence personnel but for NITs, GFTIs, IIITs there is no quota for CAPF personnel. There are in total 10,006 seats across all IITs and Jee Advanced qualified total number of students were 26,456 amongst which CAPF sets were quite less but yes reserved.

With a 96 percentile in JEE Mains and belonging to the OBC category, you have good chances of securing admission to various colleges.
Some potential options include NIT Raipur, NIT Agartala, and NIT Goa for branches like Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering.

IIT Bombay revised syllabus for the UCEED exam in the previous edition. As per the revised syllabus, the exam conducting released the part-wise topics that candidates needed to prepare for the exam. It also released some information related to the new exam pattern, for instance the Part B now includes two questions (instead of one), while the test duration for the part was increased to 60 minutes (from 30 minutes). IIT Bombay released the full details about the UCEED in its information brochure. Note that the information brochure was released on its official website.
