International students have to pay a non-refundable fee of USD 75. The mode of payment can be Credit Card. Look at the pointers given below - 

  • IIT has two payment plans from which students may choose when making installment payments.

  • Enrollment in a semester payment plan will divide student's total out-of-pocket payment obligation for the semester into four (4) or three (3) equal payments. Payment plans are for ONE term only.

  • Students must enroll in a new plan every semester if they choose this payment option. There will be a Payment Plan Setup Fee of $35.00.

IIT Bhilai MTech application fee is Rs. 850 for females and reserved category. INR 1,700 for other candidates per paper. The application fees with late fee is INR 1,350 for females and reserved category students and INR 2,200 for others.

IIT Bhilai offers a two-year M.Tech course across six specialisations. These are Computer Science & Engineering, Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Vehicle Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mechatronics. Admission to all the M.Tech courses is through GATE followed by COAP counselling.

For admission to IIT Bhilai MTech course, students are admitted through a valid GATE score. As per the selection process, candidates must pass graduation with BTech from a recognised board. Further, candidates need to appear for GATE entrance exams and get a qualifying score to get shortlisted for the course. Later on, the final seat allotment is done through COAP Counselling session. Students who are graduated from IIT are exempted from the GATE entrance score requirement.

Note: For MTech, the qualifying candidates have to further apply for COAP and then apply on the official website of IIT Bhilai to proceed to confirm their admis

Students who want to get into IIT Bhilai must start preparing from Class 11, a preparation strategy for the exam is mentioned below:

  • Revise as much as possible
  • Solve as many Mock Tests as possible. 
  • Choose the reference books wisely
  • Keep your focus on NCERT books at this point
  • Cross-check section-wise weightage & syllabus for all subjects covered in JEE Main
  • Solve previous year's JEE question papers there are high chances of getting questions from there

IIT Bhilai offers a full-time residential course of  BTech. The programme is offered in six popular specialisations. These are:

  1. Computer Science and Engineering
  2. Electrical Engineering
  3. Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering
  4. Mechatronics Engineering
  5. Mechanical Engineering 
  6. Data Science and Artificial Intelligence

Candidates can apply for the course via a valid JEE Advanced score. The specialisations will be offered based on a candidate's ranking obtained in the respective entrance exam.

IIT Bhilai accepts admission based on the scoring in JEE Main and JEE Advanced entrance exams. There is no other provision for admission. It is compulsory for students to take the JEE Main exam. Candidates who secure a valid rank in JEE Advanced further need to take part in the JoSAA counselling for seat allotment.

The total tuition fee for BTech at IIT Bhilai is INR 9 lakh. Total course fee will further be inclusive of all the components of the fee structure such as admission fee, ID card, certificate fees, etc. This amount is taken from official sources and can change.

To get admission to the IIT Bhilai BTech course, candidates have to fill out the JEE Main online application form must and check the eligibility criteria of each course before filling the form. Candidates who pass Class 12 with minimum 75% aggregate in the final examination are eligble to apply for the course. Candidates can apply by visiting the NTA website (nta.ac.in).
