IIT Tirupati cutoff 2026 was released for round 1 regarding enrollment to the MSc course and its specialisations. The cutoff was out for various categories under the All India quota. 

For the General AI category, the first round cutoff varied between 296 and 665, with M.Sc. in Mathematics and Statistics and M.Sc. in Chemistry being the most and least sought-after courses for this category of candidates. 

Students can refer to the table below to know the IIT Tirupati category-wise cutoff 2026 for the first round.

JoSAA has released the opening and closing ranks for Round 1 Seat Allotment recently. Admission to IIT Tirupati B.Tech course is based on JEE Main/ JEE Advanced scores followed by JoSAA Counselling 2025. The IIT Tirupati JEE Advanced Cutoff 2025 has been out for Round 1 seat allotment results, for admission to various B.Tech courses. The toughest course to get into the college for the General AI category candidates was Computer Science and Engineering, with the closing Cutoff rank of 4620. The easiest course for the General AI category was B.Tech. in Civil Engineering, with the closing cutoff rank of 14559

Yes, candidates belonging to the General AI quota with a cutoff rank of 500 can get an admission to MSc courses at IIT Tirupati. However, please note that the cutoff ranks vary for different rounds, specialisations, and categories. Therefore, admission will be granted to only those MSc specialisations whose Round 1 closing rank is above 500. Tabulated below are the IIT JAM first round closing ranks for the General AI category students:

IIT JAM is the entrance exam for MSc admission at IIT Tirupati. The Round 1 cutoff list for admission has been released, showing that the closing ranks varied between 307 and 602 for students belonging to the General AI quota. Therefore, for Round 1 admission, the minimum cutoff rank required was 307 or less for Mathematics and Statistics. Please note that the cutoff ranks differ for various rounds, specialisations, and categories. Yes one can get admission in IIT Tirupati if he/ she meets the eligibility criteria. For the B.tech courses you have to clear JEE mains and secure a good rank in JEE advanced and then participate in the counselling procedure. For M.tech you have to clear GATE and participate in the counselling procedure. For other courses like M.Sc you have to qualify JAM and for PHD you have to clear GATE, UGC-NET, CSIR-NET.

IIT Tirupati offers BTech in CSE course based on JEE Advanced scores. Candidates are allowed to get admission through their valid JEE Advanced scores. Among all the courses, CSE remained the most demanded course over the years. As per IIT Tirupati cutoff 2024, the CSE last-round cutoff stood at 5024 for the General AI category candidates. Comparing the 2024 CSE cutoff with previous year, an increase in the CSE cutoff has been seen in 2024. However, the CSE cutoff fallen from 4011 in 2022 to 3701 in 2023 for the General AI category candidates. Candidates can find below the CSE cutoffs for five years from the table below:

Admission to IIT Tirupati is granted based on valid entrance scores. Therefore, candidates must secure valid scores in the accepted entrance exams such as JEE Main/ JEE Advanced/ GATE or equivalent. Apart from this, candidates must secure minimum aggregate of 75% Class 12 and 50% in graduation, depending on level of course opted. 

To apply for any course, candidates must fill out the application form of the respective examination from its official website. Furthermore, candidates must sign up for the counselling process. IIT Tirupati fee includes tuition fees ranging from Rs 10000 to 8 Lakh. Students should secure valid scores in accepted entrance exams such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced, GATE or equivalent. It offers courses in UG, PG and PhD courses. The courses are conducted in full-time mode.
