It would be nice to know for what reasons are those colleges in India have attained top 50 positions. If there is any such major difference among the 50 and a regular college in any foreign country, then why follow the crowd and go with the 50? Nothing can be compensated the experiences that can be attained in a foreign land.

Hi Arpita,
I guess NITs are available till 40,000 rank as per last year's statistics, however if you are SC/ST you may have some chance. I don't think same applies for general and OBC category. Still if you really want any NIT then attend counselling. You might get one in eastern states probably but I'm not sure. Their are many private colleges which gives admission on the basis of JEE Mains score so you can try for them like
1. Jaypee, Noida
2. UIET, Chandigarh
3. UPES, Dehradun
4. Galgotias University, Greater Noida

Hi,
Abroad is a very wide term. Do you have any specific country in mind? Or else some well-known ones are MIT, CalTech, GeorgiaTech, NUS, NTU, TU Berlin, ETH Zurich, University of Toronto, etc.

There are many wonderful universities in London that you can choose. I am still willing to write an answer to this even after seeing the timeline when the question was posted. The reason is I have a friend who studied in the UK and was placed in a very good company. Do get good grades and get admission in one of the best universities in the UK.
