in India b.sc is not popular as professional courses like b.E , B Tech, MBBS. For undergraduate programs IISC provide b.sc programs. IISC is popular among postgraduate students. You can say lack of awareness among undergraduate students and there guides

see getting admitted in iisc is not easy, u have to qualify JEE-advance with a good rank say under 2000
