Dear Gaurav,
Every year, thousands of students get admission in IIT-B for different courses. Do you really think that those thousands of students get hostel from the college itself? No! Firstly, you need to apply for hostel separately and then you will be allotted the room in hostel (if rooms were left). Else you have to manage your accommodation by yourself.

IIT Bombay is the best. IIT-Bombay is owned by the central government but VJTI is owned by the state government, government of Maharashtra. For IIT Bombay, one has to stay in their hostel and study. That is compulsory. But for VJTI, you can be a day student. Other than this, both are the best institutions.

Hi Dhanram,
There is nothing like a best course. IIT is one the reputed institutes in India for Technology. Which stream of technology you want to take up as your career option is completely based on your area of interest. The institute offers courses in wide array of technology like electrical, mechanical, aerospace, computer science, civil etc.
