Dear aspirant, Computer Science can be a course provided to both concentrators and non-concentrators. More than just Tech, you also know how to programme them. In other words, it would teach you to think more methodically and solve problems more effectively. With the knowledge of Computer Science, you get the skill and ability to solve the real-world problems in many ways at the speed limit that is beyond the ability of humans. Compared to IT, it is Computer industry that is one of the fastest growing segments in Indian Economy. Dear aspirant, Great interacting with you. There are roughly 200 seats in the 1st category and 100 in each of the other 4 categories in every branch. So as the students start taking admission, the seats start getting filled, starting from the first category seats, and then moving to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th categories. So you can end up getting CSE in the 5th category even with a rank of 10k while on the other hand, you may get Civil in the first category even with a rank of 30k. Hope it helps. As you know that CSE is the most demanded branch specially in Vellore campus because CSE has better career opportunities and placements so

First of all its not true. Any private college doesn't have 100 percent placement record, it go upto 80 percent. It all depends on you. In UP or NCR best private colleges are as given below :-
1. Amity University
2. Sharda University, Greater Noida
3. GLA university
4. Manav Rachna University
They all are good and have good placement records. Here is another thing that you should consider before taking admission, you should check NIRF or NACC ranking of each institute that you thought in your mind for taking admission.

To go to engineering college, you should have science background as it would be the basics but if you are so interested you can clear the entrance and get good colleges for which you would have to study basics of science again.

Hi Sneha Gaikwad, even though this college is very reputed I could not find anywhere any information about cutoffs prescribed by this institution for admissions in BCA. This perhaps could be because the number of students applying could be in a similar range to the capacity of intake for this branch in this college. To help you with father information I am attaching the link through which you can access varieties of information on different subjects.

Hello! Himadri Basu, it is very nice to hear from you about enquiry of cutoff ranks or enquiry about possibilities of getting the branches you mention with ranking of about 1.2 Lacs. To put you into a proper perspective let me say that the first round closing rank for CSE was 7000 while for the other branches that you have mention it varies and is up to about 14000. This does not mean that you will not get admission, it only means that you need to wait for vacancies to arise as students who are in the better position leave for IIT or nits and then the students who have scored less get a chance for admission with lower scores.
