There is no as such minimum rank. But try to score in the region of 95+ percentile in CAT to have a good shot at the IIMs and other government colleges like FMS, DFS, DBE. All the best
The candidate must have passed Graduation in BCA or equivalent from a recognized board. The candidate must have acquired a minimum aggregate of 60% in the qualifying examination. The candidates who are in their final year of degree can also apply for admission.

As a friend I would suggest you to first complete your BCA as you have already dedicated your 1 valuable year to it. Also, there are very few good institutes offering a Journalism course at Bachelor level. Keeping in mind your keen interest towards Journalism, I would suggest you to pursue a part time Certificate course in Journalism and after completing your BCA you can opt for a full time PG in Journalism or Mass Comm. Well, the prevailing time is extremely competitive. The recruiter doesn't need the certification, but relevant skill to get his tasks completed with utmost efficiency.
