Yes, it is a good course. BCA degree holders can get admission in the second year of MCA course directly. Candidates who have passed 10+2 are eligible to get admission in BCA course. Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar-Haryana (GJUS&T) offers MCA 2-years programme with following eligibility criteria.
1. MCA first year eligibility: recognized Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 Year duration with Mathematics at 10+2 level. Or recognised Bachelors Degree of minimum 3 Year duration with Mathematics as one of the subjects. Or should have pass in BCA Degree of minimum 3 Year duration from a recognized University. Obtained at least 50% marks (47.5% for SC candidates of Haryana) in the qualifying Examination. Note: Candidates having passed Mathematics/ Statistics in one semester/ in one year as the case may be shall be considered eligible for MCA.
2. MCA 2nd year through LEET 4 semesters : Bachelor's Degree of minimum three year duration in BCA B.Sc. (IT/ Computer Science) with Mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or at Graduate Level. Obtained at least 50% marks (47.5% for SC candidates of Haryana) at the qualifying Examinations. Further admission to MCA and MCA LEET programme will be made on the basis of merit of entrance test to be conducted by the University plus sports weightage, if any, subject to fulfilling of other conditions given in the University Prospectus 2019-20.
