Yes, it is good choice to go us to pursue engineering degree. Yes, you can do it even after BCA, but your marks in intermediate will be considered only for admission purposes. You must score good in intermediate and pass in all the subjects. Best of luck.

Dear Rashi,I would suggest you against dropping for a year. Dropping for a year is no surety that next year you will qualify JEE. In case you are interested in B.Tech, it would be better if your try for some good private universities. Many reputed private universities are offering B.Tech degree with various specializations. They have their different criteria for admissions.
