Dear Abhinav,
Game designers are specialized software developers who visualize, plan and help design the creation of video and computer games. Game designing involves defining the structure for the game, its layout, setting, how the game would flow, and all constituent elements such as characters, vehicles, the interface and the modes how the elements would work in the game. Yes it would involve theory to be learnt, but that's a fact with all design courses. Theory always give base to your thoughts which you replicate in your designs.

Career Requirements. While some employers require a Bachelor's degree in video game design or computer Science, a high school Diploma is the minimum requirement. You may need to have experience working in computer Science, programming, or art. Most developers have a higher education qualification, such as degree or HND. To get on a relevant degree you need five GCSEs grade C or above including Maths, English and a Science subject, plus at least two A levels.
