Pay package of B.Tech IT and CSE doesn't depend on the branch. There are a lot of factors which decides your salary. Starting average package is quite low as 4 to 5 LPA only. After all, it depends on the companies whether you are in the service-based company or product based company.

Which PSU you get depends on your performance in GATE examination, however, seats for CSE/IT students in PSUs are quite less so you will have to score high marks.
