I would advise you to pursue BCA in regular degree mode only. BCA is a professional degree which will train you on subjects like database, networking, data structure, core programming languages like C and Java which are subjects learnt better with practical training. A distance education will give you a degree but not give you adequate training required to land a job in the market. Or, if you are a person already working in the field of programming or related domain and is earning well or cannot stop earning due to personal reasons and wish to pursue higher studies, wants a degree to further develop your career, then you may go ahe

1. Trends Data analytics and Science is growing.
2. The supply is less compare to demand.
3. Good demand outside India like Australia, Germany and US.
4. Gain skills and you become niche employee with higher remuneration.

You can apply for UGC NET Computer Science if you have completed the M.Sc. With IT. But the basic requirement of the exam is that you should have passed Masters with minimum 55% aggregate marks which you have to fulfill. 5% relaxation is provided to the OBC/SC/ST/PwD candidates in the aggregate marks. According to the recent notifications, from next session NTA will conduct the UGC NET exam on the place of CBSE. The exam will be organized on the online mode only from December 2018.
