The objective of JAM is to provide admissions to various MCA, M.Sc, joint M.Sc – Ph.D, M.Sc – Ph.D dual degree and other post Bachelor degree programs at the IITs based on the performance in a single test. The eligibility criteria for IIT JAM is 55% aggregate marks in the Bachelors degree.

There are many jobs and designations which demand skills other than programming. Following are the major ones:
1. Database administrator
2. System administrator
3. Network Engineer
The above-written jobs belong to technical areas and there are many non-technical management related jobs as well.
My personal suggestion is to not to avoid programming as it is the core part of IT and one cannot grow without knowing programming languages. You may or may not work as a programmer, but it helps you understand how computer systems and applications works and hence give you better hold on it.

BCA from a regular college is a better option in comparison to BCA by distance learning. Formal education is superior to distance learning in terms of learning and job opportunities.

Yes, you can pursue BCA and then MCA. You can even do M.Tech in CSE by clearing GATE after your MCA.
