If you are looking for B.Tech IET, AKTU is considered better than MAIT. IET, AKTU has better placement record and as well has better reputation. MAIT might be preferable if your priorities are campus and environment. 

MAIT is often cited as having a larger and more vibrant campus compared to IET. While IET is government college.

The admission success into IET's Civil or Electrical branch following your 84 percentile in JEE Mains depends on multiple components such as minimum rank criteria along with the admission procedure.
