Studying in Ireland for free as a non-EU/EEA international student is rare, but possible through prestigious, competitive fully-funded scholarships.

Against a common norm that studying at public universities is free or comes with nominal prices, international students in Ireland typically pay €10,000–€30,000 annually even at public universities. However, Irish/EU citizens might get to study for free at public Irish institutions.
