Yes, it is one of the hardest languages in the world. Due to the different style of the writing system of the Japanese language, it is hard to learn for Indians.
There are three separate writing systems in Japanese language. Learning a new language is challenging, but remember you have learnt English as your second language. Just use the same practice for the Japanese language.

"To gain admission to the BA (Hons.) Japanese program at JNU, you need to appear for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) and secure a good score, followed by participating in the CUET-UG counseling process based on the merit list released by JNU.
Academic Qualification:
You must have passed your Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized board/university with a minimum of 45% marks.
