NCERT books cover most of the essential topics for JEE Mains syllabus, making them a great starting point for understanding fundamental concepts. 

Not sufficient for Advanced:

JEE Advanced often includes complex and challenging questions that go beyond the scope of NCERT books, requiring additional practice with advanced level problems. 

Different colleges throughout Bangalore possess varying admitted student cutoff scores for exams including JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. General category students need to score between 85-100 marks while the cutoff requirements for OBC students range from 70-80 percentile and the cutoff values for SC and ST students are the lowest. The JEE Main cutoff rank necessary for admission to RV College of Engineering sets between 20,000-30,000 points for students belonging to the General category. The BMS College of Engineering and PES University along with other colleges maintain slightly lower cutoff scores in comparison.
