Yes, you can attach your EWS certificate in the MPDTE (Madhya Pradesh Diploma Technical Education) counseling even if you mentioned the general category in your JEE Mains application. However, during the counseling process, you need to ensure that the category you're applying for is correctly reflected in the documents you provide. It's advisable to confirm with the MPDTE counseling authorities whether you can switch categories and submit the updated documents.

You cannot get direct admission to Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar, into the B.Tech course without appearing for the JEE Main examination. Though admission to B.Tech courses at GNDU is based on the scores secured in the JEE Main entrance exam, merit in the qualifying examination is also given due consideration for some other courses.
However, GNDU does provide admission in some courses on merit only in the qualifying exams. B.Tech is not such course. If you wish to join a different course, which does not involve any entrance exam, then, based on your past performance in academics, you would qualify.

With a rank of 500,000 in JEE Mains, securing admission to the topmost government colleges is difficult, but you could look into the lower-ranked NITs, IIITs, and State Engineering colleges where the cut-off criterion is relatively mild. The options are:
State Engineering Colleges: State Engineering Colleges in Punjab like PEC, UP Technical University and a few branches of state universities could have seats available.
NIITs/IIITs: Some of the more recent NITs and IIITs may have empty seats in some courses.
Private Institutes with Government Funding: Some private institutes offering government-funded programs may also have vacancies.

Yes, it is possible to get admission to the School of Management Sciences for a B.E. / B.Tech course without JEE Main, depending on the college's admission policies. Some colleges may offer direct admission or accept scores from other entrance exams such as:
State-Level Entrance Exams: Many states conduct their own entrance exams for engineering admissions, like UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam), COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka), etc.
Merit-Based Admission: Some institutions offer admission based on the marks obtained in 10+2 exams (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects) or othe

The JEE Main result date is not specific to any particular college, including the School of Management Sciences. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the JEE Main exam, and the results are typically declared:
- Session 1 (January): Results are usually announced in the first or second week of February.
- Session 2 (April): Results are generally released in the last week of April.
Once the results are declared, candidates can apply to colleges, including the School of Management Sciences, based on their JEE Main scores. It's recommended to keep checking the NTA's official website for exact result dates and further admission details.
