The brightest future.
Placements: I am currently pursuing, but our previous year's batch also got 70 to 80% placed. The highest package is 6-7 LPA, the medium is 3-4 LPA, and the lowest is 2-2.5 LPA. Top recruiters are TCS, Wipro, and Infosys. Internship is 60-70%. Top roles are social media executive, SEO analyst, etc. There are brighter professions.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and a library. Here, we have maintained a well-facilitated environment. The hostel food is average good, hygiene is maintained, and medical facilities, sports, and games are fine. The overall hostel is very nice and peaceful. This provides a non-ragging campus.
Faculty: They provide notes. Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. This course curriculum is good, and obviously, this course makes students industry-ready, goal-oriented, and focused on a brighter future. Semester exams are not too difficult. Our pass percentage is only 40%.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest, and I also want to build an entrepreneurial career with this course. I think our course is more than practical, so increasing the practical lab facility is a necessary part to improve.

I am dissatisfied with my college due to the language barrier.
Placements: At least 10% of students are placed at this college. The highest package is 4.5 LPA in this course. Top recruiting companies are Capgemini and TCS. 5% of students get internships. Top roles offered are web developer and cyber security, but the highest package is very low, like 4.5 LPA is so low.
Infrastructure: Facilities are very low, no Wi-Fi on the college campus, and they have tiny rooms. They have a library, but the food quality is very low. They have a mess hall or canteen, but the food quality is very low. They have a big ground for sports. They participate in sports or tournaments, and they also have medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are so good and helpful. The quality of teaching is good. They mainly teach in Bengali, and they don't know Hindi, they only know 2 languages, Bengali or English. This course is good, and the semester exam is of a normal average. It makes students ready for the industry with this course.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to go into the sector. This course is like a shortcut, and they can make a course in four years. Colleges do events, and they call big celebrities like Sonu Sood.

Supportive environment with active campus life and solid placements.
Placements: 70% of students got placed in my course. The highest package is 10 LPA, the average package is 5 LPA, and the lowest package is 2.5 LPA. In my course, the top recruiting companies are TCS, Capgemini, etc. 60% of students secured internships from this course at IBM, TCS, Infosys, etc. The top roles in this course are software developer, data analyst, and technical support.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are smart-class enabled, with projectors and good seating. It has NG arrangements also. Wi-Fi is available across campus, though like most colleges, sometimes the speed can dip. Hostel facilities are fairly comfortable. Rooms are decent-and are usually shared. They come with the basics: a bed, study tables, and proper ventilation. Hostel food is average; it's not home-style cooking, but it's hygienic and filling. Many students rely on the canteen when they want variety. There is a medical room on campus with a doctor available at certain hours. Sports and extracurricular activities are encouraged. The college has grounds for cricket, football, and volleyball.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and approachable. They are qualified, many with M.Tech or Ph.D., and have good subject knowledge. The teaching quality is good and supportive if you take the initiative. The curriculum is AICTE-approved and covers core computer subjects. The college does arrange workshops, hackathons, and industry talks. Semester exams are not too difficult if you attend classes and study regularly.
Other: The course content is highly relevant, covering all the important computer science subjects along with newer technologies. What I liked best is that the course gives you both theoretical knowledge and chances to practice it, which is important in CST. Some subjects still feel too theory-oriented and could be updated with more industry-level case studies. The teaching quality is good overall, but if every professor included more hands-on coding sessions, it would make the learning process more engaging. The college organizes both technical and cultural fests. The crowd is friendly and supportive; you will find people from different states, and it's easy to make connections.

Excellent campus life, average academics, affordable fees, but outdated teaching methods.
Placements: At JIS Kalyani, most of the students got placed from the CSE department but ECE and mechanical department students also got placed at top companies. Companies like Accenture, Wipro, TCS, Capgemini, L&T, and many more non-multinational companies. Internship is totally dependent on student's skill and way of approach.
Infrastructure: JIS is the first college of JIS Group so the infrastructure is good and well. College architecture is also good regarding the stars lift, stationary shop, and student counseling office. Hostel is also good. But there are many more messes near college so options are available. Food is a bit good in the canteen.
Faculty: I am not much familiar with other department faculty members. But in my department, teachers are friendly and make a secure touch with the students regarding the course, notes, modules, and many other queries. Semester exam pattern is set by the MAKAUT board but the college is autonomous.
Other: College is pretty cool for people who want more space, and enjoy the greenery. Connectivity is also well established because the college is not very far from the railway station.

I'm dissatisfied with my college infrastructure. The college has good facilities and placements.
Placements: Almost 20% of students from my batch have been placed. The highest package is 5 LPA in a college campus, or the average is 2.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Capgemini, and Wipro. 10% of students got an internship from a company like Amazon. Top roles are offered for software engineers, data analysts, and cybersecurity jobs.
Infrastructure: College campuses have Wi-Fi for their use, not for students. They provide Wi-Fi for their own. They have computer labs, smart classrooms, and a library. They provide books to students. Professors of my batch are friendly and helpful. They teach us in a very good way. In the hostel, they provide 3 meals for students they give breakfast, lunch, dinner, and evening snacks with one glass of milk at night. But the quality of food is very low, like we just eat for surviving, they have a gym and sports room for playing, and a medical facility also.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is relevant. If students study, it makes them ready for the industry. The average difficulty is that almost 80% students pass.
Other: I chose this course because my sister did the same course. I want to study computer languages, that's why I chose this course. In this course, they can change the management subjects in it. In college, they do events, teach fest, college fest, and scholarships.

Good infrastructure, supportive faculty, moderate placements, and average hostel food.
Placements: Around 60% of students in my course were placed. Lowest package offered was 1.98 LPA, and highest package was 4 LPA. Major recruiters included TCS, Wipro, and Cognizant, mostly through off-campus drives. No internships were provided through the college. The most common role offered was Data Analyst.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is impressive, with well-equipped classrooms and modern labs that enhance the learning experience. Hostel facilities are good, providing a comfortable stay, though the food quality is average. Faculty members are knowledgeable and supportive. Curriculum is relevant, and the exam structure is manageable, allowing students to balance academics and skill development.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful, approachable, and have good subject knowledge. They explain concepts clearly and provide guidance beyond the syllabus when needed. Curriculum is relevant and aligns with current industry requirements, helping students become job-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult, but with proper preparation, most students are able to pass comfortably. Overall pass percentage is quite high, reflecting the supportive academic environment.
