If you manage to qualify JEE Main Cutoff, You would be eligible for JEE Advance which is the intake exam for IITs as mentioned above.

With this percentile your general rank will be more than 1.6 Lacs and OBC rank will be more than 40-50 thousands. With this rank it will be difficult to get good college ( NIT/ IIIT etc. ). But, you can take admission in state or in private colleges.

General Category candidates need to score a minimum of 95+ percentile score to get into NITs. For reserved category candidates, an 80+ percentile score is enough to get into NITs.

AJEE Main score of 250 or higher is regarded as good and AJEE Mains score of 85-95 percentile is ideal for getting into NITs and IITs through the exam. Candidates must also be in the top 15,000 to 20,000 ranks to be accepted into the best NITs and IITs.

Absolutely, you have a good chance to get decent NIT with this marks. According to your marks. You can expect your category rank around 1000-1200. Which is enough for getting core as well as non core branches. You can get core branches like mechanical, electrical in some of top NITs like MNIT Allahabad, NITK and NITR. However, getting non core branch in above college is pretty difficult. Getting non core branches like CS IT is easier in some of good NITs like MNIT Jaipur, NIT KKR, NIT j, NIT Jalandhar, SVNIT and NIT Rajpur. Usually, the 80-90 Percentile in JEE Main 2023 is close to the 1,50,000 to 3,00,000 rank in JEE Main. That means a candidate with an 80-90 percentile in JEE Main has a chance to get admission to NITs and IIITs for B.Tech courses.
