There is a reason for everything in life and there will definitely a reason for your bad performance, exact analysis of problem along with right corrective measures always ensure success and you are the right judge for this (can also take help from parents, mentor, etc.).
You might be weak in some areas of a particular subject, figure that out and focus on it first, you might be having some speed issues in completing the paper, etc.
Don't get stressed and focus on the right things, results will definitely change in a positive way.

Hi Aniketh,
You have to wait till you give your exams and get the results. You need to give entrance exams for engineering like JEE Main & Advanced, CET, COMEDK, IIST etc. After the counselling session, you can apply to your preferred university. You can take up online entrance exams like university-GAUGE which will allow you to apply to several leading deemed & private universities across India. Hi, for BE IT course, in general category you should score around 95-100 marks in MHCET. However, in JEE, you should score more than that. Actually, marks scored are different for different categories. There are many categories under MHCET.

For NITs and IITs you need 75% + but there are some low colleges which expects less percentage. Go to shiksha's website and find colleges with less eligibility marks.

Hello Mahesh,
Normally, every state has common entrance test for admission to engineering colleges. Hence it's only CET through which you can get admission. Similarly for admissions to NITs it's JEE Mains which is the qualifying exam.

Hello Aakash,
The maximum marks are 360. But for the admission, there are reservations based on the caste and so for each category, there has a different cut-off (only for JEE Mains).
However, for general category, it is sufficient to score 300 and above to get a top NIT.
