No, interview is conducted only for some courses of Jamia Millia Islamia. Along with the declaration of result, JMI releases the detailed admission process. The university schedules the interview for certain courses such as Mass Media, Mass Communication and Acting. Shortlisted candidates are required to appear for the interview as per their serial number. After the interview is over a merit list is released and selected candidates are called for counselling. For rest of all Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, PG Diploma courses of the University, the shortlisted candidates in the written test are directly called for the counselling.

No, the counseling sessions are held on different days for all the programmes offered by Jamia Millia Islamia. Admission to all Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Post Graduate Diploma, Diploma and Certificate programs offered by the University is done through entrance test and counselling. University releases the subject-wise counselling schedule along with the result. To participate in the counselling, candidates have to reach the concerned department with all the required documents and admission fee. The JMI Entrance Exam counselling dates have not been unannounced yet. The exam body may inform examinees about the counselling schedule on their contact details as provided during the applications. Candidates will have to appear for the counselling at the concerned department along with the relevant documents.
