For Master's degree, you need minimum 6.5 band overall and each component 6 band. For Bachelor's degree, you need over all 6 and each component 5.5 band.

I personally recommend you Travel and Tourism as it has more fundamental opportunities in the future trend. Jobs vacancies will be more in Tourism sector. Have a core and practical experiences in Heritage or renowned Hotels so you get a better recommendation for upgrading you profile with respect to your salary package.

There is no particular text book or coaching classes for the B. M. entrance exam. So, there is nothing as such you have to specifically prepare for and the paper pattern, type of questions change from year to year. But here are a few things you can do and should keep in mind. Firstly, read the newspaper daily! Gather some general knowledge, be aware of the current affairs, reading magazines and periodicals might help too. Read everything possible. It will depend on the college whether they will provide you direct admission because UGC had made it that minimum 45 percent is necessary if SC/ST and minimum 50 percent if general category.
