The applicants who completed their 10 years of Kannada-language education in locations outside of Karnataka, from Class Ist to Class Xth. Such candidates are exempt from taking the KEA-organized Kannada Language Test. Maths, Physics, and Chemistry for the KCET are administered at different times by the Karnataka Examination Authority. 80 minutes are allotted for each paper in the KCET exam 2024. Physics and Chemistry will be held on a different day from the Biology and Mathematics exams for the KCET. Examining for the KCET will not be interrupted. Exam for KCET 2024 will be administered in two shifts: shift 1 will take place from 10:30 AM to 11:50 AM and shift 2 from 2:30 PM to 3:50 PM.

The KCET exam papers consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with four answer choices for each question. There is only one correct answer for each question. The question types you can expect in the KCET exam are:

The KCET marking scheme is pretty straightforward:
- Each question is worth one mark. There are 60 questions in each subject tested, so the maximum marks per subject is 60.
- There is no negative marking, so you won't be penalized for answering a question incorrectly. This means it's to your advantage to guess if you're unsure about an answer.
- The entire KCET exam is multiple choice, so you'll be choosing the answer you think is correct out of four options provided.

KEA or Karnataka Examinations Authority conducts KCET. Though KEA does not provide any special formulated mock tests for KCET. You can appear for KCET mock tests from alternative coaching websites or test websites available. There are various coaching institutions who offer free as well as paid test series, you can enroll yourself in that. Or you can buy a book of KCET mock tests available on online platforms like amazon, flipkart etc. You can also download mock test pdf from websites like testbook, oliveboard etc. Mock tests and test series will help you improve your test scores rapidly and enhance your performance.

Yes, the KCET exam is given in a variety of locations using an offline pen and paper format. An OMR sheet will be given to applicants so they can take the KCET 2024 exam. Candidates must use a ballpoint pen in either blue or black to mark their responses. Candidates are advised that there will be no online testing for them. Every question on the test will have 4 possible answers. There will be one right response for each question. It is advised of applicants to double examine their responses before signing an OMR form. Applicants claiming eligibility for Government seats under Horanadu & Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses and whose mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu or Kodava have to undergo a Kannada language test. The Kannada Language test will be conducted by KEA at Bidar, Belagavi, Ballary, Bijapura, Bangalore and Bengaluru Centres. Eligible candidates have to appear for the 'Common Entrance Test ' in a test centre located at Bengaluru, Bidar, Belagavi, Ballary, Bijapura, Bangalore centres only. The relevant photocopy of the original documents of the parents in support of their claims such as marks cars, study certificates, etc., along with the CET admission

Karnataka Examination Authority conducts KCET 2025 exam every year for the admissions to engineering and pharmacy courses offered by participating institutes. Applicants appearing in the exam are advise to follow all the exam day guidelines and instructions as given by the invigilator. Candidates can refer to the important guidelines given below regarding KCET 2025 exam.

Applicants appearing in the exam are advise to refer to the KCET exam pattern 2025 for their preparations.
