State board students need to ensure that they accurately enter their marks in the KCET application form during the registration process.
This is because KCET is the entrance examination conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) for admissions to various undergraduate courses in colleges across Karnataka, including engineering, pharmacy, agriculture, and more.

But KCET training by itself is insufficient to succeed in JEE Main. The primary JEE questions will be more conceptual, therefore getting ready is crucial. It's difficult to definitively say whether a rank of 1421 in KCET will guarantee you a seat in CS, IS, or EC at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Bangalore for the general category. This is because:
- KCET cutoff ranks change every year depending on the number of applicants, difficulty level of the exam, and the number of seats available in each college and program.
- MS Ramaiah is a reputed institute, and Computer Science, Information Science, and Electronics & Communication Engineering are popular programs. There might be limited seats available for these courses.

No, filling the KCET application form in one go is not mandatory. The KCET application process allows you to save your progress at any point. This is helpful if you need to take breaks or gather information before completing the form. Once you save your details, you can resume filling out the form later using your User ID and password. While saving is possible, it's still recommended to complete the application form in one go if feasible. This helps avoid any last-minute issues or missed deadlines.
